Accessing a Private Rag Forum
As
part of the services available on UKRag.net, Rag, and related,
groups can have their own forum space for their members. However
because they are private to the group(s) they are hidden until
your user account has been added to the relevant usergroup.
So...just
follow these instructions:
- You
must be a registered on the UKRag.net forums.
[If you aren't already registered then you need to tackle that
first (How to
Register)]
- Next,
you can do one of two things:
-
If you know who your admin is, email them with your forum
username (and your real name, so they know who you are)
and ask to be added.
- ...OR...
- Log
in to the UKRag.net board.
- Locate
and click on the "
Usergroups" link (in top menu)
- Select
your Rag or student fundraising group from the drop down
selection box
- Click
on "View Information"
- Double
check you got the right group before clicking on "Join
Group"
- This
will queue your request and automatically send an email
to the group admin asking them to authorise your request.
Once
you're request has been authorised or the moderator has added you
to the appropriate Usergroup, you will be able to view your Rag
forum whenever you are logged into the UKRag.net forums.
Additional
Notes:
-
You are not limited to being a member of only one group. You are
welcome to join as many applicable groups as you wish.
- Rag
specific boards will not be visible to users who are not members
of the appropriate user group (or anyone who isn't logged in)
- Decisions
on who should have access to Rag specific boards rests with the
moderator(s) for that board and they are free to grant or limit
access to other individuals (e.g. Charity Reps) at their
discretion.
