Getting Started
Registration is required to access all the facilities
on the site so it's very important that you do this before you
start trying to explore.
To
register...
- Click
on the "
Register" link
- Fill
in the various bits of information and submit
- Check
your email account for the confirmation email (This is required
to confirm your email address is working & genuine)
- Follow
the confirmation email instructions.
- Finally,
"
Login" using your username and password (try not to forget
them!).
(Note: If you aren't logged in, while using the forums, you are
treated as an anonymous visitor.)
If
you get stuck be sure to check the "
Help files"
There
are some Rules
& Regulations to follow so please spare a couple of minutes
to just run over them so you know what you can and can't do...
Forgotten your login?
If you've registered before and forgotten what your password is
then don't panic and follow the procedure below to reset it.
To
reset your password.
- Click
on the " Log
in" link.
- Click
on the "I
forgot my password" link.
- Hint: Try checking your email for any emails
from UKRag. The address you received it on will be your registered
email address
- If you don't remember your username, you'll need to email
admin@ukrag.net with as much info' as possible to help us
find it.
- If
you've filled out the form correctly the system will then send
out a new password to the email addressed registered.
- If
you don't have access to the original email address you
will need to email admin@ukrag.net
- Check
your email account for an email from UKRag.net.
- Follow
the "New password activation" email instructions to confirm
your request and set the new password.
- Finally, " Login" using
your username and password (try not to forget them again!).
If
you lack all the necessary information or hit problems with activating/confirming
your request then please email admin@ukrag.net for
help.
Limitations:
Registered vs' Anonymous.
If
you don't register you are only
able to:
- Read
messages (in most boards EXCEPT those for specific
Rags/Groups)
- Post/Reply
in the "feedback" section
only
If
you do register you get all of the above,
plus:
- Post/Reply
in ALL sections
- Start & Take
part in polls
- Able
to access all other facilities (calendar, directory, etc...)
- Access
to Boards run by specific Rags (IF accepted
by the appropriate board admin)
(The
reason for limiting anonymous visitors is that it helps discourage
a lot of spam and unrelated rubbish.)
