Hi all,
Just thought I would give a warning about a load of fake collectors claiming to be collecting for a charity called Painted Children. They've been there every day for the last 4 weeks which seeing as City of London only hand out permits 2 days a week is a bit dodgy to say the least. _________________ Spiderman, Spiderman, Does whatever a spider can.

So some more info on this, the charity is Painted Children, they are acting with the charity's knowledge and according to the guy collecting I just spoke to they are acting on a commission basis (on a cash collection) without permits. How dodgy do you get?
Please everyone avoid.
P.S. Obviously if you can pass this on to peopl you know that woul be brill. _________________ Spiderman, Spiderman, Does whatever a spider can.

Problem is most PCSOs have got it wrong so many times they are probably too scared to challenge charity collectors. _________________ http://greatswims.ragabonds.org.uk/
Did Dave and I mention we'd won an award and seem to have been short listed of another? |

| oh dear sounds like some kind of racket. I'm surprised that the Charity Commission let them register, it could be that they don't know the rules |

They only registered in April and the Limited company they trade as was only incorporated in November. This guy I was chatting to got me to speak to his manager and he was very non-plussed when i told him the issues and said I'll do something then. The security guards in Tesco originally were indicating they were involved with Tesco like the collector said and the duty manager was "unavailable" apparently. As I spoke further one said to the other "hush, he knows what he's on about" then claimed it was separate and they were only on the street.
Definitely sounds like a racket. _________________ Spiderman, Spiderman, Does whatever a spider can.
